Page block

The Page block is a Grid block that previews a Page on your site. A Page is a long-form page with its own HTML body.

Adding a Page block

1. Click the + (Add content) button in the admin menu.
2. Click Page.
3. Enter a Title, then click Add Block.

The editor heading is Add content, with the chip a Page Block. Placeholder for the title: Page Title.

The add form creates the Page and places a preview block on the Grid. The body is edited on the Page itself, not in this form.

Editing the Page body

Open the Page, then click Edit page in the admin menu. The editor opens with Enter Page Title as the title placeholder.

Save Changes runs an accessibility check, then saves. While saving, the control can show Evaluating Accessibility..., Saving Images..., or Saving Content.... A success notice reads Page saved successfully.

Images in the Page body are limited to 4,718,592 bytes (about 4.5 megabytes).

Visitor behavior on the Grid

The Page block shows a preview. If the Page body has an image, the first image appears in the preview. A relative modified time appears on desktop. visit page opens the full Page.

Comparing and restoring versions

On the full Page, editors with access can open Compare versions. The window is headed Comparing Pages.

1. Choose a version under Select previous version. Dates use the form YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss.
2. Review the comparison. Identical content shows Contents are identical.
3. Restore opens a confirmation: Are you sure you want to revert the page '{title}'.
4. Revert Page restores that version. Cancel closes without restoring.

Constraints

• The add-block form only sets the Title. Body content is edited with Edit page.
• Compare and restore run from the full Page, not from the Grid preview block alone.

FAQ

• "Where do I type the page text?" Open the Page with visit page or from your pages list, then click Edit page.
• "Why is the modified date missing on my phone?" The modified time is shown on desktop only.
• "Can I restore an earlier version?" Yes. On the full Page, use Compare versions, select a version, then Restore and Revert Page.
