Poll/Survey block
The Poll/Survey block is a Grid block that displays a question with answer choices. Signed-in visitors can vote. Anyone can view results.
Adding a Poll/Survey block
- Click the + (Add content) button in the admin menu.
- Click Poll/Survey.
- Enter a Question and answers, set Audience, then click Add Block.
The editor heading is Add content, with the chip a Poll Block.
Editing
Click the pencil on the block (Click to edit). Save Changes keeps the edits. Cancel discards them. Delete removes the block.

The editor states that you cannot specify which individual students may take the poll.
Visitor behavior
The question appears as the block heading. Answers are radio choices.

After a successful vote, the block shows Thank you for voting! A second vote from the same person shows You have already voted! Submitting with no choice shows Please select one option!
Results show each answer with a vote count and a percentage to one decimal place.
On phones, Expand appears when the content does not fit the block height.
Constraints
- The question cannot be empty.
- Vote is not shown to visitors who are not signed in.
- A person can vote once per poll.
FAQ
- "Why is there no Vote button?" The visitor is not signed in. View still shows results.
- "Why does it say You have already voted?" That account already submitted a vote for this poll.
- "Can I limit the poll to certain students?" The editor states that you cannot specify which students are allowed to take the poll. Use the Audience menu for the broad groups it lists.
