Staff Block

The Staff block can display staff members that have a profile card in the staff listing on a specific department page at your district or group page at your schools.

You must be an admin to the site in order to access other staff members profile cards. The staff listing page, accessed by "www.yoursite_url/staff" is syncing nightly with a specific Google or Office365 Group or OU. If your staff member is not on the staff listing page, they must be added to the correct Group or OU in your G-Suite or Office365 admin account. Please contact your technology director if you need someone added to your staff listing page.


It is always good to know about your internal page collections when dealing with internal pages. Here is a quick refresher!


District Site Internal Pages:

  • Departments - Accessed by "www.yoursite_url/departments"  - Staff Block available
  • Sections - Accessed by "www.yoursite_url/sections" - No Staff Block

School Site Internal Pages:

  • Departments - Accessed by "www.yoursite_url/groups" - Staff Block available 
  • Sections - Accessed by "www.yoursite_url/sections" - No Staff Block

Add a Staff Block using to your page:


  • Go to your internal department or group page which you would like to display your staff block on
  • Select the + icon on the left menu to add content
  • Select the "staff" option from the list of blocks.
  • Change the title of the block (optional)
  • Select "Add Block" to save.

Steps to creating a Staff Block using "Card Locations":

Once the block has been added to the page, go to your staff listing to locate the staff member you want to show up in the Staff Block. Accessed by "www.yoursite_url/staff"

  • Open the profile card for the staff member and scroll to the bottom where it says "Card Locations"
  • Select the school site and department page from the drop-down menus. Click the "Add location" button to save the changes.

The staff block should now show the newly added staff member's card in the corresponding page.


Steps to creating a Staff Block using "Groups & OUs" option:

  • Select the gear icon to open the admin panel
  • Select the "Groups & OUs" option from the list displayed within the "page settings" panel
  • A menu for associated group & OUs will pop up. Select the corresponding group/OU you wish to use to populate the staff block for the page.

The staff block should now show the staff members associated with the selected group/OU in the corresponding page.



Tips & Uses

  • A staff block displays anyone who has assigned that department as a location on their contact card.
  • Users can remove themselves from a staff block by removing the respective location on their contact card.
  • Clicking on any user in a staff block opens that user's contact card for quick reference.
