Teacher Help: Class Blocks Guide for Teachers

We consider a school’s teachers, its best asset.  To highlight the teachers, we create a beautiful and fun to navigate Staff Listing page.

SchoolBlocks offers teachers their own simplified web solution called ClassBlocks. ClassBlocks pages are just pages that live within a teacher's profile card. The functionality of these pages is the same as every other page on the site. Use the "+" sign to add blocks as needed. Drag, drop, and resize like you would a window on your desktop computer.

Each teacher has a profile card that holds easily customizable information such as a photo, title, contact information and bio. From within the card, a teacher can also create a new ClassBlocks page. They can also create links to 3rd party sites and URLS.

Editing your card information:

  • Login using your school email account
  • Go to the Staff Listing page and find your profile card. They are listed alphabetically on the page
  • Being logged in will give you permissions to edit your profile card. DO NOT CHANGE THE EMAIL OR THE NAME. That must be done from your district G-Suite by your district Google Admin.
  • Inserting a thoughtful bio is a tremendous help to the school and your own identity goals within your school community.

Create your own ClassBlocks page or link to a site you already use.

Look for two buttons near the bottom of your profile card.

Click the “Create New ClassBlocks Page” button near the bottom of your profile card. Once this button is clicked, you will be asked to type in a title of your classroom. This creates a bold button on your profile card that opens your new classroom page.

If you have a classroom website on a different platform (Weebly, Wix, Wordpress, Google Sites), you may click the button “Create New Link To A Site.” A window will appear asking for a title and a URL. This creates a button that sends visitors to the linked site. Once your class is created, you’ll access it via its button found near the bottom of your profile card.

To create new content on your ClassBlocks site you will click on the classroom that you wish to add new content to. From there you will want to locate the "+" button on the bottom left menu. This will allow you to add all of the same blocks that you would normally see on a School Blocks site.  More information about blocks and the grid are located here.  “  managing your grid.”
