Admin Help: Archiving
Archiving
Archiving can be done within your Google or Office Drive by just creating a folder and placing the files and folders you want to archive in the archive folder. You can also archive content within your SchoolBlocks site using an internal page.
It is best to have some knowledge of your internal page collections. Here is a quick refresher!
District Site Internal Pages:
- Departments - Accessed by "www.yoursite_url/departments"
- Sections - Accessed by "www.yoursite_url/sections"
School Site Internal Pages:
- Groups - Accessed by "www.yourschoolsite_url/groups"
- Sections - Accessed by "www.yourschoolsite_url/sections"
To set up a page for Archiving, you will want to choose which internal page collection you would like your archived page to live in. Once you decide where you want it, go to the internal page collection by typing in "/departments", "/groups", or "/sections" at the end of your URL.
Click on the "+" sign in the bottom left of your site to add a new internal page within the collection. You will just need to give it a name.
Once you have created the internal page, you will see it listed in alphabetical order on the page.
Click on your new internal page, then click on the lock button in the white bar at the top. This will make your page private to only admins for your site.
Now you are ready to add blocks to the page or move blocks from other pages to this page.
