Admin Help: Retrieve Deleted block (Flux Capacitor)
The Flux Capacitor is basically a roll back tool. If you are working on adding content to your site and accidentally deleted a block, the Flux capacitor button will help retrieve that lost content. The Flux Capacitor saves all the block information and all the edits made to the site every minute or so. Note: The Flux Capacitor does not work on top navigation links. In other words, any links deleted from the top navigation menu are not retrievable and will have to be recreated if deleted.
Flux Capacitor.
The Flux Capacitor button can be found on any page, as long as you are logged into the site. The screenshot below shows where the button to access the tool is located.
When you click on the Flux Capacitor button, a window will appear above the banner. This window will have many bubbles that act as time stamps. Clicking on any of the previous bubbles will show what edits have been made in that point in time, including what blocks have been moved, as well as what blocks have been deleted. The most recent version of the site will be on the far right side of the toolbar. The beginning of the site is found all the way to the left side of that toolbar.
Once you have found the blocks deleted using the bubbles, you will need to click on the "Restore to the Grid" button to restore that version of the page. Keep in mind that when you restore a different version of the page, it might take away some more recent edits. You will want to be sure that restoring the grid is the best way to solve your problem. In some cases, the best way to replace a deleted block could be to re-build the block as best as possible.
