Spirit Gear block

The Spirit Gear block is a Grid block that shows products from your school store, with a link to the full store.

Adding a Spirit Gear block

1. Click the + (Add content) button in the admin menu.
2. Click Spirit Gear.
3. Enter a Title, then click Add Block.

The editor heading is Add content, with the chip a Spirit Gear Block. Placeholder: Spirit Gear.

Editing

Click the pencil on the block (Click to edit). Save Changes keeps the edits. Cancel discards them. Delete removes the block.

There is no product editor in the block. Product names, images, and items for sale are managed by GearLaunch.

Visitor behavior

The header links to the full store (Click to view the full store). Product tiles display in the block with purchase links.

While the store is being created, visitors see Please refresh the page to see the store. Editors see a creation message and a notice to contact GearLaunch to update the name, image, or items for sale.

If the store fails to load, the block shows that there was an issue loading this store.

Constraints

• Title is the only block field.
• Store updates go through GearLaunch, not through the block editor. See Spirit Gear terrace for the contact path used on terrace pages; the Grid block uses the same store service.

FAQ

• "How do we change a product photo?" Contact GearLaunch. The block has no product editor.
• "Our block says to refresh the page." Store creation is still in progress. Refresh when it finishes.
• "Is this the same as the Spirit Gear terrace?" Same store service, different layout. The terrace is a full-width row on a terrace page. This block sits on a Grid page.
