Terraced Page: Steps to get started
The Terraced page is a long-scroll format page. It requires less time to manage while being more beautiful. This was built for homepages but works on all sub-pages as well. You can setup the page before publishing and from the Terraced Page, link to your old home page. If you choose to do so, we suggest calling it the District Dashboard or something of the sort.
For more information on this page type, please view this help document. If you're ready to get started, please continue.
What You'll Need.
- Great pics or a short video: This makes your page pop as it will be used in a full-screen format. SchoolBlocks offers some great options so feel free to use ours if you don't have something handy.
- Mission/Vision Statement: For the "About" section, it's great to include a paragraph that states your qualities and purpose.
- News Items: If you haven't created any news yet, please be prepared to add the latest news.
- Events: While you can add one event at a time, it sure makes life easy if you add a whole calendar at a time. If you need help finding your calendar ICS link, click here.
- Files & Folders: Do you have files or folders which should be made easily available?
- Images: Putting together 5-10 highlight images adds visual candy to the page.
Steps to Take
First and foremost, we're thrilled you're here! The Terraced page is the culmination of many years of work. It not only provides you with a more beautiful page, it offers a lot of sophistication in how the content is managed and distributed. It's the same content as what's found in SchoolFeed!

- Click "Show" on all the Terraces you think you'll use.
- In the hero, choose one to many images or videos or upload your own. Action shots of kids smiling always leave a great impression.
- In the "About" section, add your text and insert a video from YouTube. About Us text can be the Mission or Vision, or just a short statement about the district. Look in top nav for About Us text.
- For news, click the "plus" icon on the bottom left, then add some news by clicking the 'news' button.
- Add their Facebook feed with our RSS tool (https://rss.app/)
- Events are added one at a time or one calendar at a time.
- Files & Folders can be added by finding the share link and setting the permissions to 'anyone can view.'
- Images can be uploaded one-at-a-time or soon to be released, one folder at a time.
That's it! When you're ready, feel free to send the link to any of your constituents or go live via selecting the option in the page settings window.
