Grid pages

Grid with Blocks is one of the two layouts a page can use. Content sits in tiles arranged on a grid. The other layout is Terraced Page. See Terrace pages.

Grid with Blocks or Terraced Page

The layout is set per page in Page Settings, under Page Type. See Page Settings.

Switching layouts does not delete content. Grid blocks and terraces are stored separately. Switch back to Grid with Blocks and every block reappears in its original position. See Terrace pages.

Adding a block

  1. Click the + (Add content) button in the admin menu.
  2. Click a block type in the picker.
  3. Fill the fields in the Add content editor, then click Add Block.

When a page already holds 12 or more blocks, a notice appears before the picker: Hmmm, that's a lot of blocks. with an offer to contact support about layout. The picker still opens.

Message/Post in the picker is not a Grid block. It opens the notification editor. See Notifications.

Section in the picker creates a section page under the current page. See Sections and micro-sites.
